Rambo is an absolute middle sized (88lb) solid black (r) male of good breed type.   His masculine head has correct almond shaped eyes, correct stop, strong muzzle, and is free of excess lip.   Topline is firm, level, and free of falling off towards the rear.   Rambo has a good front, straight and correct with a very good breadth of chest and fore-chest.   His front is correctly placed, moves freely from the shoulder with no hackney, lifting, or flipping.    He has a long underline, a slightly long loin, and a very good length and angle of his croup.   His rear is tight, free of any excessive angles or length of thigh bones.   Thighs are broad, well muscled, and his hocks are short and firm.    Despite his strong bone and heft Rambo can easily run 25mph when he wants, and in his younger days jumping four feet was easy peasy, he is in every way a powerful athlete with correct structure free of any excessive traits.

Rambo is a favorite here, for this happy and enthusiastic personality and over the top bursts of joy and happiness.   Nobody ever wonders how Rambo feels about them!    Rambo, like his dam Sterlyn, is a fetch hound who loves any and all games of fetch.   He loves disc, coursing, fast cat, and scent work and he’s a good sport about learning and training that doesn’t end with him chasing down a toy as well.

Rambo is popular with all the girl dogs and he often leads squirrel hunts, and delivery van chases along the front fence.   When he’s not trying to get someone to toss something for him he’s often found sleeping and hanging out with Susanne.   He’s an active but fairly easy house dog, always with an eye to someone playing with him, but happy to hang out and be chill too.

Rambo loves to travel and he can be a bit of a handful due to his excess of personality and enthusiasm for life, but we always have fun together and he is a kind hearted, confident, and dependable companion and protector.   He loves cani hiking and is a super reliable trail partner.    His is intensely loyal to Susanne and his girls but also open to making new friends.    A tough dog Rambo has a heart of gold and he’s a blast to live with.

Rambo is a son of our German import Sylar, from the Kinzigau kennel known for producing tough working dogs, and like his sire Rambo has a core of steel and tons of drive.    His sireline is loaded with German dogs that bring the solid and dependable nature, strong fighting drive and natural grips, from generations of past working dogs.   Less impulsive, more thoughtful and independent workers than many of the modern working lines we prefer these lines for their reliable, deliberate, and non reactive minds and “think before you do” temperaments.

Rambo’s dam line is an unbroken tail female line to our foundation female Indeigh, a Zorro LaagerWall daughter, who was a much loved companion and competition partner.   This line reliably produces happy, social, playful, and easy to train and live with German Shepherds of fantastic breed type.   From Sterlyn and Disco, Rambo inherited his correct middle size, exceptional health, and love off all things fetch.

Rambo has produced super daughters for us including Roseigh, Rainbow, Salleigh, Tango, and Tetra and we are looking forward to lots of grand kids in the coming year.
