Iveigh is a beautiful black and red daughter of our top producing Andeigh v d burg Austerlitz (our Frisco v d burg Austerlitz/Quinta v Westfork foundation line: Iveigh-Andeigh-Quinta-Bette v Arnoux-Amy v Arnoux-Frisco-Quinta Westfork) so although her sire and maternal grandsire are outside males we have 6 generations along the tail female line of our own breeding. Iveigh’s sire side is filled with top German show line males, chosen for their health, athletic structure, accomplishments, temperament, and both were handler-owner or breeder-owner-trained for all their many accomplishments in the show and trial field.
Iveigh is full of temperament (and herself!), she lives for being into everyone’s business and she pretty much keeps everything running here. She has strong herding drive, tons of toy drive, and powerful play drive. She is great to train, easy to load up and take anywhere, and is absolutely dependable everywhere she goes, from the park for an easy walk, to a crowded dog show, to in harness for cani hiking. She’s ready for it all, always easy to manage, makes good choices all on her own, and handles everything with the absolute confidence of a dog who is pretty sure the world is hers.
Iveigh is an upper medium sized female with strong bone, a strong feminine head, and lovely breed type. She has an excellent head, with correct planes of the skull and muzzle, correct breadth of skull, with correct proportions and ear set. Dark and correctly almond shaped eyes, strong jaws, tight lips, and a long neck properly angled. Her top line is firm, solid, and dead level without any roach or mid back drop off. Her croup is correct in angle but could be a little longer, her tail set is ideal and her tail moves normally and is of correct length.
Correct fore-chest, stretched, correct body to leg ratio, long underline and well sprung ribs of correct breadth. Front angulation is very good, she toes out, from an otherwise correct front with tight feet, well arched toes, and correct pasterns. Rear angulation is very good, second thigh could be slightly longer, hocks are firm, rear drive is powerful. Movement is free, firm, correct coming and going, ground covering and powerful. Overall Iveigh is typy, dry and tight. Iveigh is rated V (excellent) in structure under 4 different judges, and was BOB (UKC) and Group Winning under a GSD breeder/judge.
Iveigh is a classic GSD in every way. From her athletic structure, to her dependable "common sense" nature, she is easy as easy can be. Iveigh is a super fun adventure buddy and Rebecca has taken her on so many! From hiking, to cani-hiking, to disc, coursing and conformation shows, Iveigh loves them all and handles every environment with the natural ease of a dog with correct GSD temperament.
Iveigh has loads of toy drive, strong fight drive, and will work for food as well as toys. She is social, easy to train, and always gives you 100% whenever you ask.
Iveigh loves to herd, but until we get something for her to herd she makes do herding the other dogs. A pleasant and easy house dog Iveigh gets on well with everyone and she is an easy companion dog.
